Wishful Wednesdays: To be something my mom can be proud of.

Yes. That is my wish. That I would be something my mom can be proud of. I'm actually becoming teary-eyed while typing all of this.

I want to make my mom happy but how can I do that if I'm such a failure? Everything I do, I end up failing in one way or another.

My mom and I had a talk the other day and she promised me that no matter what happens or whatever I do with my life, she will always love me, support me, and be proud of me.

Its too much actually.

I don't think I deserve anything and everything that she's done for me so far.

I, honestly, don't want to be a screw up like most of my cousins in one side of the family. But by failing a subject, I already think I am. And I don't like being belittled coz I'm not smart at all and that I have cousins who really excel.

My life is tough really.

All the comparisons.

Sometimes, I just want to run away from it all.

There are time where I cry myself to sleep just thinking of what a failure I think I am.

But my mom says I'm not a failure. She says I'm actually really smart but I'm just really lazy.

I just hope that someday, I make my mama proud. I just hope I can give back to her what she has lost so that she could support me. Oh, a tear just went down my face and now i'm crying like hell.

I know this is too personal but there really is no place else for me to vent out and for me to express what I feel.

All this negativity need to go away. Seriously. But how though.

Hit me up on twitter, please. I need all the comforting and advice that I can get.

Revamped.

If you're a frequent reader of this useless (jk) blog, then you might have noticed that it's got a new look.

I just thought to myself that "La Vie Est Belle" as a blog name doesn't sound that original. Actually, I loved it once I heard it from Lancome. But I threw that away and renamed it "Lipstick, Lace, & Labels". I had to search through the internet on how to make one's blog sound catchy. So I named it that.

I for one really like the header coz I made it myself. Especially the one with the lipstick icon on it. I had to make one myself coz I could find any on the internet.

I changed my profile photo too.

And also the gadgets on the sides.

I drew every single thing on this icon so I have owners rights.

Here's why it's designed that way:

(1) LIPSTICK

(2) LACE

(3) LABEL

Note that my signature is on the lipstick and the label, so no stealing.

I've also made my whole blog into this black-and-white with a hint of color kind of thing. I think it's elegant and sophisticated. My thoughts are my thoughts.

So, yeah. I just wanted to share all that with you.

I look forward to the next time you visit this little blog of mine. :)

Travel Tuesdays: Hong Kong & Macau

I like traveling. Anyone who knows me, knows that.

My first our of the country travel was in Hong Kong and Macau, just a few years ago actually. It was meant to be a four night trip and out first night was supposed to be the night where we, my family and I, by ourselves but the plane from Cebu was really late and we ended up arriving in HK at around 9pm and we still had to find the shuttle thinggy that was supposed to take us to our hotel.

Their international airport is huge. And I think we almost got lost at some point and we actually asked some help from those Chinese workers at the airport but they couldn't understand a thing we were saying. Like seriously?! Not even simple English? Haaays. We eventually found the bus and thats it. We were knocked out by the time we arrived.

On our second day, we went all around the city, to all these jewelry shops that sold us crappy jewelry, then to Hong Kong Disneyland. Meet-up time was 8pm so we had a lot of time to spare. We went around. I rode the rides. Space Mountain will always and forever be my favorite ride coz of the adrenaline rush. We ate in the restaurants. We took photos of everything. We watched the fireworks then finally went back to the hotel to get some rest for the next day of the tour. But before we went to sleep, I went shopping in the nearest mall that I could find and bought a couple of stuff, bags, wallets, and candy. Then yeah went to sleep.

On the 3rd day, we went to Macau, China just because it was so near and we just wanted more stamps on our passports. It mostly sucked coz all I did was wait outside the casino's all day coz I was still a minor. Yeah. Crappy. Then back to HK we went.

On our last day, we were schedule to go to Hong Kong Ocean Park. There were so many rides I wanted to go on but my coward mom wouldn't let me to that was a waste of an opportunity. We went around. Watch the dolphin show. Ate. I love Chinese food. Probably coz of my ancestry. We were late in going back to the hotel because of the stupid shuttle. So we had to spend more money on taxi rides. Then blah blah we waited for our flight. Then poof! HELLO, PHILIPPINES!

This trip was the start of me longing to travel. I absolutely love traveling to different places, islands, countries.  I hope I get more opportunities to do so and to make more joyous memories that are worth while in the future.

So sorry, I don't have photos to post on here. I accidentally deleted them on my camera and I was left with just a few shots of the fish in Ocean Park. Not good at all. Hopefully that never ever happens again. Haha :)

New decisions.

I watched a video of one of my favorite YouTuber's (Zoella) posting videos of her and her Collection Hauls. And I've come to a decision that I might do that in this blog too. I might to a monthly haul, probably in video form or I just post photos. Probably go with the photos instead coz I'm camera shy. Haha. So yeah. Starting this month, April, I'll be posting about the stuff that I bought. From trips to just local places. So yeah.

To kick start this week with Music Monday, here are some new songs that I've recently discovered that have come to my liking:

PSY - Gentleman

Yes, I know everyone knows his viral video Gangnam Style, but I think this song is a bit more toned down and classy-ish. The dance is really cool and seductive that you just cant help hip-thrust while listening to it. The beat is sick, way different from his other song.

CALVIN HARRIS ft. ELLIE GOULDING - I Need Your Love

This song just want's me to do the fist pump and bob my head back and forth. its a really catchy beat.

YEAH YEAH YEAHS - Heads Will Roll (Remix)

This. I've been listening to this for a few weeks now. Ever since I've watch the most awesome party movie ever, Project X. I swear that movie was just WOW. This song will make you fill spinny and all coz its really catchy.

If you haven't noticed already, most of the songs I've chosen have been House Music-y. Well, I dunno. I've just been feeling it for a couple of weeks now.

So, I've been invites to dinner at Bridge (which I've never been too and kinda terrified to go there actually.. But it's free food so yeeeyyyy!! ) At he moment I'm just laying on my bed and trying to do something productive (this blog)

So yeah. That's that. What do you guys think of those ideas??
