Wishful Wednesdays: To be something my mom can be proud of.

Yes. That is my wish. That I would be something my mom can be proud of. I'm actually becoming teary-eyed while typing all of this.

I want to make my mom happy but how can I do that if I'm such a failure? Everything I do, I end up failing in one way or another.

My mom and I had a talk the other day and she promised me that no matter what happens or whatever I do with my life, she will always love me, support me, and be proud of me.

Its too much actually.

I don't think I deserve anything and everything that she's done for me so far.

I, honestly, don't want to be a screw up like most of my cousins in one side of the family. But by failing a subject, I already think I am. And I don't like being belittled coz I'm not smart at all and that I have cousins who really excel.

My life is tough really.

All the comparisons.

Sometimes, I just want to run away from it all.

There are time where I cry myself to sleep just thinking of what a failure I think I am.

But my mom says I'm not a failure. She says I'm actually really smart but I'm just really lazy.

I just hope that someday, I make my mama proud. I just hope I can give back to her what she has lost so that she could support me. Oh, a tear just went down my face and now i'm crying like hell.

I know this is too personal but there really is no place else for me to vent out and for me to express what I feel.

All this negativity need to go away. Seriously. But how though.

Revamped.

If you're a frequent reader of this useless (jk) blog, then you might have noticed that it's got a new look.

I just thought to myself that "La Vie Est Belle" as a blog name doesn't sound that original. Actually, I loved it once I heard it from Lancome. But I threw that away and renamed it "Lipstick, Lace, & Labels". I had to search through the internet on how to make one's blog sound catchy. So I named it that.

I for one really like the header coz I made it myself. Especially the one with the lipstick icon on it. I had to make one myself coz I could find any on the internet.

I changed my profile photo too.

And also the gadgets on the sides.

I drew every single thing on this icon so I have owners rights.

Here's why it's designed that way:

(1) LIPSTICK

(2) LACE

(3) LABEL

Note that my signature is on the lipstick and the label, so no stealing.

I've also made my whole blog into this black-and-white with a hint of color kind of thing. I think it's elegant and sophisticated. My thoughts are my thoughts.

So, yeah. I just wanted to share all that with you.

Travel Tuesdays: Hong Kong & Macau

I like traveling. Anyone who knows me, knows that.

My first our of the country travel was in Hong Kong and Macau, just a few years ago actually. It was meant to be a four night trip and out first night was supposed to be the night where we, my family and I, by ourselves but the plane from Cebu was really late and we ended up arriving in HK at around 9pm and we still had to find the shuttle thinggy that was supposed to take us to our hotel.

Their international airport is huge. And I think we almost got lost at some point and we actually asked some help from those Chinese workers at the airport but they couldn't understand a thing we were saying. Like seriously?! Not even simple English? Haaays. We eventually found the bus and thats it. We were knocked out by the time we arrived.

On our second day, we went all around the city, to all these jewelry shops that sold us crappy jewelry, then to Hong Kong Disneyland. Meet-up time was 8pm so we had a lot of time to spare. We went around. I rode the rides. Space Mountain will always and forever be my favorite ride coz of the adrenaline rush. We ate in the restaurants. We took photos of everything. We watched the fireworks then finally went back to the hotel to get some rest for the next day of the tour. But before we went to sleep, I went shopping in the nearest mall that I could find and bought a couple of stuff, bags, wallets, and candy. Then yeah went to sleep.

On the 3rd day, we went to Macau, China just because it was so near and we just wanted more stamps on our passports. It mostly sucked coz all I did was wait outside the casino's all day coz I was still a minor. Yeah. Crappy. Then back to HK we went.

On our last day, we were schedule to go to Hong Kong Ocean Park. There were so many rides I wanted to go on but my coward mom wouldn't let me to that was a waste of an opportunity. We went around. Watch the dolphin show. Ate. I love Chinese food. Probably coz of my ancestry. We were late in going back to the hotel because of the stupid shuttle. So we had to spend more money on taxi rides. Then blah blah we waited for our flight. Then poof! HELLO, PHILIPPINES!

This trip was the start of me longing to travel. I absolutely love traveling to different places, islands, countries.  I hope I get more opportunities to do so and to make more joyous memories that are worth while in the future.

So sorry, I don't have photos to post on here. I accidentally deleted them on my camera and I was left with just a few shots of the fish in Ocean Park. Not good at all. Hopefully that never ever happens again. Haha :)

I watched a video of one of my favorite YouTuber's (Zoella) posting videos of her and her Collection Hauls. And I've come to a decision that I might do that in this blog too. I might to a monthly haul, probably in video form or I just post photos. Probably go with the photos instead coz I'm camera shy. Haha. So yeah. Starting this month, April, I'll be posting about the stuff that I bought. From trips to just local places. So yeah.

To kick start this week with Music Monday, here are some new songs that I've recently discovered that have come to my liking:

PSY - Gentleman

Yes, I know everyone knows his viral video Gangnam Style, but I think this song is a bit more toned down and classy-ish. The dance is really cool and seductive that you just cant help hip-thrust while listening to it. The beat is sick, way different from his other song.

CALVIN HARRIS ft. ELLIE GOULDING - I Need Your Love

This song just want's me to do the fist pump and bob my head back and forth. its a really catchy beat.

YEAH YEAH YEAHS - Heads Will Roll (Remix)

This. I've been listening to this for a few weeks now. Ever since I've watch the most awesome party movie ever, Project X. I swear that movie was just WOW. This song will make you fill spinny and all coz its really catchy.

If you haven't noticed already, most of the songs I've chosen have been House Music-y. Well, I dunno. I've just been feeling it for a couple of weeks now.

JACKETS WITH LONG LEATHER SLEEVES

I think if you have any of these, all you have to do is throw it on whatever you're wearing and it immediately turns you into one of the most fashionable people ever. Haha. I just like looking at people wearing this kind of jacket coz it gives them that hard feeling too it.

SKATER SKIRTS

This skirt could fit the girly, the athletic, the punk, or the eccentric. From the variety of color, print, and material, anyone and everyone can wear it!

BLACK AND GOLD EVERYTHING

I just think that the mixture of black and gold is just one of the most elegant and rich combinations ever.

Hi, guys!

I know I haven't been that active in blogging lately but I promise I've got legit reasons!

Every single week after my first few blog entries, I've been bombarded by exams. Where it came to the point that my classmates and myself were given about 10 exams in a week and its really really hard for us already to have exams every freaking day but 10 in a week? Yeah. I promise I'm not making this up. I am really sorry for not being to blog but I swear I'll do my best to. :)

Now, IT'S SUMMER VACATION TIME BABYYYY!
 But not for long coz I have to take summer classes. Medical Surgery 1 and Pathophysiology. Yeah. Boohoo. :(

Anyways, I made a collage of my Instagram photos from the past 2 months to update you guys with this hectic life of mine. (Sorry for the really long photo! Haha!)

Les Misérables - "On My Own" Trailer

The Miserable.

The Miserable. Isn't that what Les Miserables stands for in English? So, you might have guessed already that I watched the movie. Yes. Yes, I did. Less about that now and more about what happened before that. :)

First off, I started my day by waking up that I thought I was late for class. But thank God my teacher was late as well so it crossed me being late OUT. We barely had class today coz all we had to do was check our exam papers in CBR. Meh. I was kind of satisfied with the scores. I think. Then I had to stay behind with all the 'regular people'. Yes, I'm not a regular in school beacuse my QPA or GPA or whatever didn't reach the cut-off. So, they took away 2 subjects and I cant get my pin for internship this year. But no fuss, I'll still be in my batch but I'll just get my pin next year. Yeah. Back to the 'regular people'. They were practicing their songs for pinning day and, little did they know, I was listening to them in the room. Daaaaaaaaaamn, some of them are tone-deaf. I'm not saying I know how to sing or whatever but I know my tones. Well, I think I do anyways. Then blah blah we're off to the heart of the city. :)

Second, we went shopping! Well, thrift shopping it is! I really didn't have much to choose from though coz I guess I wasn't in the ukay-ukay mood. But then when I was about to loose hope...I found this really cool and comfy nude jacket! I swear it was such a lucky find! Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that everything in the store was just P20.00??!! Whut ze hell :D ahahaha ( Here it is! :) http://snapwidget.com/view/?id=377344063443981426_192837964#.UQSyNR2nnz4 ) Then, we went to the local fabric store where I found these beautiful patterned metallic fabric that I think I'll buy just as soon as I budget my money! :) Then blah blah we went to the school supplies center to get so shtuff the blah blah. Hahaha :)

Third, lunch time! We ate in this really affordable resto that had our fave Filipino food :) I had some meat thinggy's and rice.. Was yummy! And to think I only spent P70.00 :) after that we went to Robinsons Mall to buy some tickets to Les Miserables but, little did we know, that the time schedule changed! Instead of the first showing to be 12:50, it got chaged to 01:50. We were too early! And it was like 11-something am! So, we went around the mall, then the supermarket to buy snacks, then stayed in the food court just to kill the time. When 01:50 drew by, we decided to buy shake from the buko stand near by. My friends decided to get the regular ones..But I? I got myself the large ones! Come one! Don't you judge me! Les Miserables is a 3-hour film (more or less) ! I had to get myself the large on! I need liquids! haha so yea after that we went in the cinema then chose our seats although it took us a while to chose those that satisfied us the most.

Fourth, Les Miserables. I actually really enjoyed the movie. It was a masterpiece. There were those heartbreaking parts, here and there. But what really made me shed a tear was when Jean Valjean died at the last part. But the not-so-love story of Ebony and Marius was pretty good too. I have to say that Cosette and Marius look sooooo gooood together. I have to sa Sacha Baron Cohenis hilarious (as always)! Was probably the only character that made me laugh throughout the movie. Hmmmmmm. I have nothing else to add. I think. The movie was amazing. If you haven't seen it yet, then you should. Les Miserables. Yes. <3 :) :) :)

Lastly, right here and now. I'm in my room right now typing this with a smile coz I want all my readers to smile no matter what's happening in your life. I don't want you to be miserable like the title of this post. Smiling brings our spirits up and moping around will just make you sick and shtuff. Okay, mum just told me to get ready for bed coz we have to go to Church early in the morning. And plus, its my grandmum's 72nd birthday tomorrow! 72 in 27! Happy 72nd Birthday, Lola Oya! I love you! ♥

Well, I still have a lot of stuff to post but I really haven't organized my thoughts yet.

So, I'll think I'll just leave my post to that.

Such a failure.

I am such a failure. Yes. Thats what I think of myself. I feel like anything thats givem to me will just end up as a frumpy failure. Its frustrating actually. I think its coz I procrastinate a lot.

This morning, our Kinesiology teacher gave back oir Pre-Midterm exams. and daaaaaaaaamn a whole lote of us failed. and there were 4 exam papers!!! UUUGGGGHHH. i'll definitely take back all the deficits i lost dureing the pre-midterms!!! I'll study my ass off!

Then when afternoon came, I was called first in our TheraEx Return Demo. That was another fail. I didnt get to study the part of CMC Joint Abduction and Adduction!!!! Urrrrrrggggg. I promise myself that i'll recover when Practical Exams come!!

But one thing is for sure, I'm a hella good business woman. Out of 40+ fashion items, whats left in my stash is just 6! 6!!!!!!! I should really be in a business course! Like, seriously.

In this blog post, I SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL STUDY MY FUCKING ASS OF FROM NOW ON.

AHAHAHAHAHA. You read it here first folks!! :)

Anyhoo.. I recieved something from my mums hubby today :) its a Valentines Card with a little something in the insid6e....MONEEEEEEYYYYYY :) i know its too early, but to me nothings too early when money's involved! ahahaha! CHACHING!!!!! :)

Okay. I think this blog is going no where. I guess I just needed to let off some steam or something. ahaha. idk :)

I bid you farewell for now for I have a 7:30am class tomorrow. Which, btw, is a saturday. Ugggghh. Thank God that tomorrow'll be the last saturday class for this semester. or at least I hope it will be,

I live to be an artist.

Ever since I was a child, I always got enrolled into these art classes, be it dancing or the visual arts. I can crash being a professional dancer off of my list coz I think I'm fat as hell. It pains to see those dance shows though :( especially Bunheads. If I wwnt on with ballet, I would've been in toe shoes by now.

Anyways, enough with the reminiscing.

I never want my dream of becoming a designer to be no more. That is why I promised myself that I will draw and design something everyday. And plus, it makes it waaaaaayyyy easier to do so coz now I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 :)  very useful for the artsy types like moi!!! :)

I'd loved to show my doodles to you now but I cant coz of the connection. :(

I promise I'll show them to you guys when I have the chance to get on my laptop :)  which will be SOON!! , like? this weekend probably :)

Thrift shop.

Nowadays, I'm in dire need of cash. Not because I'm broke or whatever but because I'm saving for a shopping trip right after this semester ends. I find myself buying clothes from hrist shops or as we call it here in the Philippines, ukay-ukay. I think its called that coz clothes are just placed in a pile and you have to did your way through the stench of mothballs praying that its not as dirty as it seems.

Believe it or not there are some more-than-worth-the-money-spent or lucky finds in those kinds of places. There was one time when I foind a Juicy Couture striped top that looked like it was barely used. It was definitely one of those AHA! moments! :)

Last weekend, I bought myself 3 tops (1 sweater, 1 top with a cat as a print, and a white buttoned-down top) coz the place was going on a 3-for-100 sale. Its pretty worth it .when its like that. But in the store right next to it there was this really cute jacket that I really cpuldnt use here in the Philippines coz its just so stinking hot here! I just pictured myself wearing it to a trip to Canada or something. I dunno. Me and my imaginations. Pero diba, 'libre and mangarap.'  Did I say that right? I have pretty crappy Tagalog speaking skills but anyway I think that meant 'it's free to dream' in English.

Anyhoo. Im selling accessories now for really cheap prices. Like if those boutiques sell a bracelet for like P75.00, then I sell them for P55.00 :) Wanna know more about my little saving-for-Cebu business? Contact me on twitter at @ilovelykajean :)

I thought today was gonna be a good day......and YES, IT DEFINITELY WAS!!!

First, my Return Demo / Practical Exam went really well! Even if I was just guessing! Ahaha!I got the right answers! Boooyaaaaa!!!!

Second, I finally found a case for my tablet! And its pink! :) :) :) and on SALE!!!! AHAHAHAHA (everythings better when its on SALE )

Last but most definitely not the least, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note now!!!!!! WHEEEEEEEEE!!! :)

Triple BOOYAAAAAAA!!! BOOYA, BOOYA, BOOOOOOYAAAAAAAA!!!!!! :D

I can finally practice and enhance my skill!!! :D
But atm I cant seem to sign in to the Google Play Store and as of now I cant download yet...so ghe practicing and enhanving can wait... but uuuuuggggghhhh can the internet connection be any crappier???!!!

Sadly, I cant upload a photo right now voz the internet connection here at home is as fast as a snail.. T_T

Last farewell.

For now, this will be my last farewell because as I am typing this I am loosing precious sleep coz its 12:25am here in the Philippines. Oh, and my title's like that coz I'm listening to Last Farewell by BigBang on my tablet.  Oh how I love and support them so much! :) ♥

I really have to sleep because tomorrow's a class day and I still have to wake up at 05:30am to study for my Return Demo later tomorrow... Errrr. Today.. Yeah. Well, my class starts at 1pm.. at least that gives me about 3-4 hours to study (more like CRAM). I'M SUCH A PROCRASTINATOR! I should stop my procrastinating ways soon and get serious with my studies though. Hahah. But for now/today, I shall procrastinate all the way! Ahahaha :)

I bid you farewell, my loves. For my eyes hurt and I'm sleepy coz of my A-B-normal and new sleep-wake cycle. Wherein I now sleep at dawn and wake up really late (which, for my younger readers, IS REALLY BAD FOR YOU! DO NOT DO THIS!) I'm happy of my status here in my blog. No haters. Or at least I think there isnt any. If there are, please dont say anything coz Im a pretty sensitive person and I break down easily.

I'm such a V.I.P.

Today, I rewatched my favorite K-Pop boy group's videos and found myself fangirling again! Yes, I am a VIP! But I am really glad that I'm not alone.. For my really good friends, Dani, Mary, and Angelie are too! We were squealing and all and we really didn't care of what people thought! Ahaha! Eeeeeeekkk!!! Even just thinking about it gets me all hyped up and shiz! Ahahahah! Crazy right? I swear our ovaries exploded over and over and over again! Ugggghh. I, really sorry if you find this post really annoying but yea its my day and it would be the way it is if i dont blog about the spazzing moments! ahaha :)

Yet another day in the life of a PT student.

Today was a pretty okay day. Some parts of it crappy but I'd rather emphasize the non-crappy parts than the crappy parts.

The day started with me snoozing all my alarms until I was finally super duper annoyed with my 'ONE OF A KIND' alarm tone. It was about 6am or so. Oh yeah, and my class was at 7am. How responsible, right? Ahaha. At least when I finally arrived in school I wasn't late at all!

Btw, yesterday, my mom bought me those new Keds Sport, you know the ones used to tone your legs? It felt really weird walking in the for the first time coz i was so not used to the feeling! Ahaha! I hope I get thoe toned legs, as they promised in the box it came in, and not be a wast of thousands of pesos! Urrg! Ahah :)

My head was throbbing as usual coz of information overload in class. And we had a quiz right after our Thera Ex discussion! Big whoop! I was definitely really confused while taking the quiz. Then, cam Kines class. Urg. Its so frustrating how fast our teacher moves from one slide to another. To think, I was hungry as hell in class coz I didn't eat breakfast. Well, I don't really eat breakfast anyways but this day was different!

Ate lunch then blah blah blah.

Then came time for the MMT Practical Exam, which I definitely flunked in! Should I just shift? I think that would be so much easier. Ahaha. But yea. Family's plans and sh-t. Fudgecakes. I more of a business-ey and artst kind of person. They know that yet they don't understand.

Anyhoo, I've got another Return Demo tomorrow. I better study now.

Newbie.

Hi! :) Lyka here! But i think i'd like to be known as ELLE in the blogging world :) Im a newbie at this (well not really coz I have a tumblog too but thats just for my fangirl moments. hihi yes Im a HUUUUUUUUUGE BigBang fan :) BigBang as in the K-Pop group not the TV show.)

So, a little more about me? Im currently a Junior taking up BS Physical Therapy in Silliman University, the school beside the sea. Im having a pretty rough time coping up but I swear Im doing my best! :)

I turned 18 last November 28th so Im pretty young to be a college junior now, aint I, Ahaha :)

I'd like this blog to be a fashion blog coz I love love looooooove fashion ♥♥♥

I hope I can update this blog everyday but I doubt it coz I dont have WiFi here at home and plus we've got tons of exams (im havomg one this afternoon! uurrrrrrrggg) so i need to use my time carefully. but i promise that i'll try tho!! :)

oh and one last thing! you might be wondering why im starting a new blog... well, it because facebook, twitter, and tumblr are so crowded now and everytime i want to speak my mind on a certain something someone's auromatically gonna comment about it. its frustrating actually. this is a place where i think i cam just rant on about all these shizzzz happening and all.. i need my personal space too, you know? *sighs* but we cant always get what we want. tsk.
